Who's Walking With You
Stephen & Julie

Stephen has lived nearly 30 years as a C5 quadriplegic. He's had surgeries go wrong, faced moments where Julie was called to come because he might not survive the night — and he's come through them with a faith and a presence that can only come from going through the fire.

Julie has been his partner through every one of those moments. She knows what it is to be a caregiver, to hold fear quietly so someone else can rest, and to find grace in the hardest seasons.

They aren't counsellors who read about suffering. They're two people who have lived it, stayed faithful through it, and now give their lives to making sure others don't have to face it alone.

"We don't just offer advice — we offer our presence."
What Support Looks Like
Real help for real life

We don't have a one-size-fits-all program. We listen first, then we walk with you in the way that's most useful for where you are.

Someone to talk to
Sometimes you just need a safe, honest conversation with someone who gets it. No scripts, no pressure — just a real exchange with people who care.
Biblical counselling
Faith-rooted guidance grounded in scripture and lived experience — for those who want to process life's hardest questions through the lens of their faith.
Caregiver support
You give everything to someone else. We give time and space back to you — because caregivers carry a weight that is not often acknowledged.
Walking through transitions
Diagnosis. Loss. Disability. Grief. Whatever the transition — we help you find your footing and move forward with clarity and courage.
What Happens When You Reach Out
No pressure. No scripts. Just people.

We know reaching out is the hardest part. Here's exactly what happens when you do.

01
You reach out
Fill out a short form and tell us a little about what's going on. There's no wrong way to do it. You don't have to have the words — just start.
02
We reach back — personally
Stephen or Julie will contact you directly. Not a coordinator or an automated reply. A person who has read what you shared and genuinely wants to connect.
03
We walk with you
From that first conversation, we figure out together what support looks like for you specifically. We don't disappear after one message.
Common Questions
You might be wondering...
Our support is offered free of charge. SwagAbility is a nonprofit ministry and our mission is simply to walk with people — not to create financial barriers to getting help.
Not at all. While our foundation is faith-based, we welcome anyone who needs support. We meet people where they are, not where we think they should be.
That's exactly the right reason to reach out. Most people don't arrive with a label for what they need — they just know something is hard. That's enough. Reach out and we'll take it from there.
Yes. What you share with Stephen and Julie stays between you. We handle everything with care, discretion, and deep respect for your privacy.
Absolutely — and caregivers are often the ones who need support the most and ask for it the least. You matter too. Please reach out.
There's no set timeline. Some people need a few conversations to find their footing. Others walk with us through a longer season. We follow your lead and stay as long as it's helpful.
From People We've Walked With
Their words, not ours
During one of the hardest seasons of our lives, when my husband was battling terminal cancer, SwagAbility became a source of strength, faith, and support for our entire family. They walked with us through every high and low and reminded us of hope when ours was fading. Even after my husband passed, they continued to stand beside me and my children. Their love made an unbearable journey feel less lonely.

Caregiver & Widow
I was struggling deeply — battling addiction, personal challenges, and isolation. Through their consistent support and encouragement, I was able to rebuild my life. They never gave up on me, even when I made it difficult. Today I am stronger in my faith and in who I am, and I know that transformation would not have been possible without them.
