Unfortunately, there is so much truth to the title of this blog post- guilty as charged!  Between training, exercise and feeding, my day pretty much revolves around my Charlie brown bear.  He is very much a mama’s boy so I can count on him to be by my side at all times.  (I can here the tender awe’s being sighed from those of you dog lovers).  The reality is…AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!  I like to be loved, but not when I trip over my own shadow a majority of the time (even when it isn’t sunny) it gets a tad annoying.  I cannot even go to the loo without being followed.  At least there will always be someone who knows where I am.  He is like my very own tracking devise.  I have learned to adapt activities to include him even if it means more work on my part.  Cross-country skiing with a dog running between your legs works muscles that would ordinarily be left out.  Taking out the garbage with a trusty watch dog by your side ensures you will not be attacked by crows.  Cooking in the kitchen with an assistant allows the floor to stay clean and strengthens your muscles from high-stepping; balance skills are also challenged when tripping over the said assistant because he moved from the last place 30 seconds before.  Point in case:IMG_1265  this is what my exercise area looked like this morning.  Yoga moves become slightly challenging and I’m pretty sure turn into different animals than originally named.  He is great at bracing your feet and adding weight to leg lifts or planks.  And hey!  Why just to regular squats when you can squat and give tummy rubs at the same time?!

I came across this cartoon the other day and thought someone had drawn it just for me…

As annoying as the over-the-top love can be from this 16-month old.  He brings a smile to my face constantly throughout the day.  He is my constant companion and my stress reducer.  He has brought so much joy and life to our home.  Dogs really can teach you much about unconditional love.  I know Charlie has taught this old dog some new tricks.  I hope this post brought a smile to you this day…we need more laughs and smiles in our day-to-day living.

I will leave you with a list of rules that have been part of our puppy home…again…guilty as charged!!!!81eQrG8xnUL._SL1500_
