Well, some big changes have come our way (literally) over the last month.  Steve’s parents have moved from southern New Brunswick back up to our area and Steve’s sister and her family have made the BIG move from Ontario to little ‘ole Victoria Corner, NB.  Once again we are surrounded by family.  It is nice to have everyone close again.

Along with these happenings I made the decision to take on a part-time job.  Yep!  After several years of being a housewife…homemaker…domestic engineer (my favourite!), I have donned the most fashionable of kitchen garb and become an assistant cook.  Where you might ask?  At New Brunswick Bible Institute.  Not only do I get to work at the same place as my hubby, I also get to work alongside, or under direct orders, of my amazing sister-in-law!  How cool is that!!  This is certainly a change for Christa as she has been a registered nurse for over 15 years.  It has been fun working together and there are many stories to tell already.  I have encouraged Christa to start a blog too as she has so many laughs to share and …just to hear about how the Lord worked everything out for them to make such a big change in their lives is so incredible.  Sometimes she makes me think of the Swedish Chef from the Muppets!!  Steve says we remind him of the two cooks from Ernest Goes to Camp.  It is such a neat experience to serve the students and I love being able to talk with each of them as they come through the “feed” line.  It is also a privilege to get-to-know the gals more as they serve alongside us in the kitchen, whether it is serving food or cleaning dishes.  The kitchen has been known to get quite loud and we try to not keep it too serious in there.

I am so looking forward to this year and this change.  The Lord has brought me to this job and He will give me the strength each day to complete it.  I also thank Him for allowing me to work with one of my best friends.
